Wedding cakes in Cyprus need to be designed and made to deal with the heat The wedding cake is the centre piece of any wedding reception. It's got to look good and taste good - and its got to stand up for several hours in a warm, sunny reception venue.

Make the right choices...

This means making careful choices of fillings and coatings of cakes.

At some receptions, the wedding cake is brought out at the beginning of the occasion, quickly ceremonially cut and photographed before being put back into a chiller or refrigerator for serving later.

Mama Mia!

We were watching the film 'Mama Mia!' recently - partly because we like to singalong - but also we wanted to see the cake!

We've decided that yes, we can make it, but it will need to be displayed in an air-conditioned room (and in August, not for long).

Many brides want their wedding cake displayed outside to take advantage of the beautiful scenery but that usually means putting the cake out in the sun. Traditional style English wedding cakes will cope with this but we don't think the 'Mama Mia!' one would in its original styling.

Just wanted to say we are back in cold UK, not loving it much. Really didn't want to leave lol.
We both wanted to say thank you for making the most amazing cake, I only wish I had ordered a bigger one, we appeared to have some greedy guests lol!! I loved it, it tasted amazing, I think everyone went back for seconds and possibly thirds, well, apart from me - I was too full I think with all the excitement of the day. I am pleased that everyone enjoyed and all the guests said how gorgeous it looked.

Well it's been a week and we are still married - so all good here! We just wanted to say thank you so much for the wonderful wedding 'cake' - it looked and tasted delicious, and was something everyone was really excited about. Happily we even managed to save the top pie to freeze in tradition, and will get to enjoy on our anniversary.

I'm just so grateful that you were able to accomodate our rather odd request at such short notice - it was perfect. More than we had hoped for, and I can't thank you enough for making it possible. We had so many compliments on how yummy it was.

I'm sure you already took pictures, but thought you might like to see the attached of us with the cake.
