Jackie Kuflik of Love Island Cakes

Jackie started her own cake decorating company in the UK in 1980's whilst studying cake design and decoration at college. She joined the teaching team and spent many years teaching Sugarcraft and Cake Decoration.

She was appointed Chief Examiner for City and Guilds for the 121 Cake Design and Decoration qualification until it was replaced by the 7900 Creative Studies programme when she became an advisor for City and Guilds, delivering training for Sugarcraft teachers, and as an External Verifier.

With her colleague (and very good friend), Chris Jeffcoate, Jackie has written 3 books on Cake Design and Decoration and advised on the creation of, and subsequently taught at, a Sugarcraft school in Tokyo, Japan. Believing in Sugarcraft to be truly a creative art, Jackie was a founder member of 'The Taste of Art', a group of like minded individuals who exhibit sugar as an art. A regular contributor to Sugarcraft magazines.

An international Gold Medallist, a judge both at National and International level, Jackie is proud that many of her students achieved very high levels of attainment in the Sugarcraft world, including City and Guilds Silver Medallists (the highest award in the UK), medalists in competitions and as teachers to the next generation both in UK and Japan.

Just wanted to say we are back in cold UK, not loving it much. Really didn't want to leave lol.
We both wanted to say thank you for making the most amazing cake, I only wish I had ordered a bigger one, we appeared to have some greedy guests lol!! I loved it, it tasted amazing, I think everyone went back for seconds and possibly thirds, well, apart from me - I was too full I think with all the excitement of the day. I am pleased that everyone enjoyed and all the guests said how gorgeous it looked.
I would also like to thank you for all your support on the build up to the wedding, I have to say between you and Nicky of Cyprus Images you have both been amazing and such lovely people too, which made things so easy.

Hello Jackie,
Well it's been a week and we are still married - so all good here! We just wanted to say thank you so much for the wonderful wedding 'cake' - it looked and tasted delicious, and was something everyone was really excited about. Happily we even managed to save the top pie to freeze in tradition, and will get to enjoy on our anniversary.

I'm just so grateful that you were able to accomodate our rather odd request at such short notice - it was perfect. More than we had hoped for, and I can't thank you enough for making it possible. We had so many compliments on how yummy it was.

I'm sure you already took pictures, but thought you might like to see the attached of us with the cake.
